Agape
Our Agape program at St. Thomas's was initiated in 1997 by Trigg Archibald and Tricia
Hennessy.
The program
was founded to give parish support to families in times of a
hospitalization, bereavement, and celebration.
At such times, the Rector will alert the contact person, who in turn will select a member of
the team of willing volunteers to deliver a meal or make whatever gesture seems
appropriate.
The "neighbor" prepares the meal and makes the visit, a token of love
(agape).
If you
would like to learn more about this outreach program, please contact the
church office.
President
Madison
Inn Activities
St. Thomas's has
formed a close bond with the residents of the President Madison Inn, an
adult assisted living facility across the street from the church. Several of the residents attend St. Thomas's, and once a month the church
offers a meal with singing and crafts.

Youth Mission Week
Each
summer our
youth group's Mission Week efforts take them to a site in need of their
special talents. They spend the
week fixing homes, building ramps, painting, replacing windows, and
sharing God’s word with residents who benefit from their physical talents,
abundant energy, and generosity of spirit.

Above, the 2002 Mission Week participants prepare
to lend a helping hand to
those in need.

Vacation
Bible School

"Raise a joyful noise unto the Lord!"
The kazoofest was a hit with old
and young alike
at a past Vacation Bible School.

A special treat for past Vacation Bible School students ~ a visit
from Chief Roby,
who gave a demonstration of how a fireman manages to get into all that
cumbersome but life-saving protective gear.
